Wouldn't the effective DOF be reduced if a lens had an overall slight
fuzzyness added (but less than the cut-off circle of confusion amount)? That
way, the far and near depths that still met the "cut-off" would no longer
qualify as "in focus", and therefore the effective DOF would be smaller?
Only guessing (and still sick from NTFS which is some sort of flu I think)...
