P3D 3D movies

Hi,

Concerning the question about what stereo base to use, and whether to vary
it, have you considered varying the base within a shot? Now I don't know
much about 3D filming, so it could be an old idea or it could be
impractical.

The example I have in mind is a variation of the classic Hitchcock 'shock'
shot. You know the one, dolly in and zoom out. The subject's face stays
the same size but the perspective goes wild, isolating them from the
surroundings. Now add a smoothly widening stereo base to that shot.

WHOA!!
