Now that sounds like a question for Bob H, if ever I heard one!

Is it possible that viewing at the maximum limit of stereo resolution,
predicated upon an average interocular distance and defined by, say, the
Howard-Dolman apparatus, may be pushing some negative extreme(s), even
perhaps antithetical to an enjoyable, if not viewable, 3-D experience? Too
heretical?
