It is crazy, isn't it? What are these people thinking about?

Have you people seen some typical slides from the 50s? The
other day I got sucked into overbiddding in a lot in Ebay,
just to get a few boxes of Realist slides with a terrible
corroded, rusted, with lenses knocked off KI viewer for
over $100. I looked at the slides and just could not believe
it! All of them total rejects. I know no one had gone through
the lots picking their favorites because they were numbered
1-29 as they came back from Kodak!!!! I am still pulling my
hair (whatever I have left). And I cannot complain because
I was sober when I bid never asked about the quality of the
slides. I took my chances and lost. Oh well...

But, Bill, you have to forward your posting to Bill Walton.
Less than a year ago he said that stereo slides are not
collectibles and he does not know anyone collecting them.
(Or something along these lines). Ebay proves everyday
that stereo slides from the 50s are the hottest collectible
in stereo. It is strange but true! Better start picking
those up before people realize their full value!
