I have a suggestion. Everyone who has a "favorite discount photo
developer" that offers Kodak Premium processing try this experiment.
First, shoot a roll of 24 exposure slides in your favorite realist
format camera. Second, send the roll in using the Kodak Premium
Processing envelopes (not the generic discount envelopes). Mark STEREO
PROCESSING AND MOUNTING (not 3D mounting) or STEREO REALIST FORMAT
(works for me) in the special instructions box. Third, record the date
sent in. Lastly, check the date returned, the mounting job and the cost
of developing and mounting.
As I've said before, I've used Target and their Kodak Premium Processing
envelopes, received my mounted realist slides back within about 3 weeks
and at a cost (always) of under $6.00. In fact, I can just about tell
you when they moved their realist processing to NJ as the first roll I
sent in came back within a week. I really wish they would have left
this service in Dallas :-)
BTW, I send both Kodak and Fuji film in for processing.
Ron
