P3D RE: Stalking the Wild Stereo Camera

I just got back from a 3-d picture-taking vacation in New York, and I can
appreciate Tom's frustration with the questions his camera equipment
provokes. Fortunately,
I am not sated yet, I still enjoy answering these questions. There was only
one person in a week of sightseeing, that let me know that she was aware of
3-d photography. I will take Tom's advice, however, and take along a viewer
with a stereo-slide, because I don't know it my explanation of the phenomena
is sufficient.

People come up to me all the time. Each time I go out, two or three people
will come up with questions. This happens more with my twinned Pentax,
but also with the Stere-All and Kodak. I'm sorry to say, I do not
encourage it or enjoy it. It's okay the first few times, but after 20-30
times you get sick of it.
I have started carrying a nice mounted slide in a Pinsharp viewer. I just
hand it over when they ask.
