P3D Re: Peanut Slave

I''m confulsed too.  I just bought one from Adorama, and it doesn't 
appear to plug in to my V. 285.  Figuring I'd got a different model, I 
ordered a second one from a local camera store.  The package says 'plugs 
directly into a Vivitar 283/285', only  it  _doesn't_!   With a short 
Vivitar PC to Vivitar adapter cord, it works fine.  Still, it's puzzling.
