P3D Argus C-3 Stereo

Hello Photo-3d-ers,
I don't know if my previous posting about my
Argus C-3 Stereo camera made it to anyone because
calcite.rocky.edu was down and I didn't receive
digest number 2757.
I "hacked" together a stereo camera from some
old Argus C-3 Bricks. Thanks to Michael Watters
for encouragement and advice :-).
The camera has a 68mm lens separation and shoots
full frame pairs. I like the fact that the viewfinders
are just right for viewing in stereo. It is a helpful
feature for stereo photography to be able to
view the scene in depth through the viewfinder.
The advance is 1-3-1 as in European format
cameras, but it is entirely up to the user
since there is no mechanical gearing to
automatically advance in that pattern.
I just got the first roll back and unfortunately
I won't be able to show off the results-- the
camera has a serious light leak. Other than the
leak it appears to work well.
I'll bring the camera to tomorrows Oakland Camera Club
for anyone that wants to look at it. Check out our
OCC web page for directions to the meeting:
