I don't know if this was mentioned in a previous posting in this thread, but
I spotted another application of this technique on MTV. It was just a brief
shot in a Matchbox 20 video which showed a freeze frame of someone pouring
breakfast cereal from a box, which then rotated to produce an impressive 3D
effect. The flakes suspended in mid-air is a real grabber.  Sorry but I
didn't get the name of the video. That was the first and only time I saw it
(I don't watch much MTV), and it took me a second to realize what I was
looking at and start paying attention. Up here in Seattle I haven't seen any
more of those Gap or beer commercials using that effect recently.
