Why omit the word "stereo"?  This "window frame" is a stereoscopic thing.
It is positioned in space when the pair is viewed stereoscopically.  Also, 
you have a stereo window even if you are not using any mounts.  Examples 
are the stereo images in the internet and the stereo prints
..

Perhaps "stereo boundary" is a better term, but I like the window because
it is the closest parallel to a real life concept.
