I don't have time but will try and help anyways :-)

Sounds like you did not get your Realist from DrT, did you? :-)
Focus problems: Yes, they are not uncommon in the Realist.
Example: I had 40 Realists. Checked every single one with my
30x achromatic focusing magnifier (and ground glass). Only 20
did not need any adjustment (these are the first batch I prepared)
The other 20 needed adjustment. Most of the times they need to
adjust the infinity focusing (not a trivial job with the Realist)
which I learned how to do. A few will have one lens focusing
at a different distance than the other. I have not figured out
how to correct this yet.
Difference in color: Look at the lenses. Do they seem to have
different coatings? Is the exposure the same in both frames?
Sounds like one lens was replaced or damaged somehow? Remove
the lens' plate and inspect the lenses. One might need cleaning.
I don't remember ever using a Realist with such problem.
Or, send your camera to DrT to check it out and clean/adjust,
bring in spec, for only $35 plus S&H.

No, this is very common and acceptable.

PS. I still have plenty of Realists for sale, most from $105 to $150.
These are reconditioned Realists sold with warranty. As Bugs
Bunny would say: "Buy from someone you know, Doc".
