Alas, I cannot take credit for this brilliant idea.  The originator was
the Detroit clubs former president, Steve Kiesling.

I think you're right George, it probably would work.  It sorta does for
the View-Master projector.  The real advantage of using the Reel-3d
gauge is that the two chips cannot shrink in relation to one another,
you can align the lines precisely, and you can focus to the printing.
I love our alignment gauge and feel it has helped a great deal.

Also, I support not touching the controls during projection.  It's
easier on the eyes and less wear and tear on the projectionist!
