Point well taken! I think it's fair to call the book idiosyncratic -
a strength and a weakness in my view. I sort or regretted saying
"geometry" (which Ferwerda covers pretty well anyway). I think my
fondness for the Girling book is in the pictures. The apparent
movement of objects in the Z axis by changing their left/right
separation in the picture frame (stereo window) is very easy to grasp
when studying Girling's anaglyphs and when reading his process for
converting line art from 2D to 3D. It made me much readier to
understand discussions of the Window in other books.
And there's that charming digression on the "Moon Illusion"....
