P3D Re: Club Competition Projection

A friend (who would probably prefer to remain anonymous) and I have been
discussing the idea of a local stereo club. We have been hashing out the
requisite Parliamentary heirarchy, ensuring that there is an unbroken chain
of command in the event of national emergency, ensuring that the club
constitution be at least twelve pages long and addressing funding,
newsletter format and content and other points of protocol involved in
endeavors of this nature.

After my recent posting about the K-Labs for Kodachrome, my good friend
suggested:

>Want to go into partnership on one of them there Kchrome minilabs? Or
>perhaps the Club could spring for one, if the Chancellor of the
>Exchequer will loosen up the pursestrings of the treasury.

I think my response is appropriate to the current thread on projector
adjustments:

"Yeah, I thought the club could get a package deal with the stereo mounting
machine purportedly in the possession of PSA. Set us up nicely.

All of our competitions would then be "full adjustment" projection of
course. We would have to deduct points for proper mounting, since that
would deprive our Department of Adjustments (VP of Horizontals, VP of
Verticals, Window Placement Manager, Left Focusser, Right Focusser and Lord
High Focusser) of their rightful duties.

Since all slides would be Kodachrome, projection would necessarily be kept
to a minimum. No previews or second looks allowed, and total projection
time not to exceed 3.5 seconds per slide. (We might be able to extend this
to 5 seconds if we replace the projector lamps with candles.)"

Aspirins will be sold at intermissions.

Best regards,
Bill Davis
