P3D Heat seal suggestion

Hi all,

I've been using heat seal mounts for my Realist slides, using a regular
iron to seal the edges and center - tedious and time consuming.

I went to a beauty supply store and bought a small hair straightening iron.
It consists of two heated metal plates on a hinged unit, a thermostat, and
an AC cord.

It only takes a few seconds to sandwich the center and edges of the mounts
in the iron. Since it's handheld, I can go thru a box of slides in no time
at all while I'm watching tv or whatever. It's much faster and easir than
the regular iron or even a travel iron.

The iron cost about twenty dollars and I can go thru a box in about 1/4 of
the time.

Hope you find this helpful.

Dennis
