Oh, Oh. I'm afraid this may be one of the typical problems COLORIST owners
only know to well.
This is, if the symptoms are: the advance knob turns and turns but the film
does not advance.
The flimsy plastic take up spool is attached whith a tiny screw to a metal
spindle that runs right through it and on which the advance know is attached.
This miniature screw tends to slip and what's worse the plastic tends to
break at that specific location.
So if the spool is still intact you can try to tighten she screw gently
with a opticians screwdriver. If the plastic has cracked, repair will be
required.
In my case the latter was the problem. Finally I had to drill a small hole
in the base of the spool and right through the spindle and glue a pin in
it. This however involves taking the thing apart but it has worked fine
ever since.
Hope yours won't need this kind of extensive churgery.
