P3D Re: Nimslo and Kodachrome
It's good to know about the pressure plate problem. AFAIK it really
was the sound of film tearing--the leader sprocket hole where it goes
onto the spool was completely torn out, and many of the rest of the
sprocket holes had little extra perforations at one edge.
I think it was lack of synchronization between the film advance
sprocket and the takeup spool, since I wasn't following the correct
loading procedure. I'll sure be keeping an eye on my pressure plate
(when I finish this roll!)! I would think that interference between
the sprocket and the plate could damage the sprocket--IIRC it is made
of plastic!
