Perhaps her eyes are more narrow set like mine, or even very widely set
and she needed to adjust the interocular separation on the viewer. I am
finding that with the non-adjustable View-Master viewer, I really have to
work at fusing the images.  I suspect that as I get better at using my
new viewer, I'll soon be able to freeview images with a 4 inch
separation!;)

Also, I've found that sometimes people need to rotate the viewer axially
raising one eye above the other to get the images to fuse.
