     There is an exhibition about the life and work of the (stereo-)
     photographer Herrmann Krone (1827 - 1916) in the "Staatlichen
     Kunstsammlungen Dresden" (Kupferstich-Kabinett, Albertinum  Br¸hlsche
     Terrasse, D-01307 Dresden GERMANY) under the title "Im Licht - Durchs
     Licht - Zum Licht" until 23th August.
     According to this exhibition there was a meeting under the title "The
     photo pioneer Herrmann Krone - Photography and gadgetry - picture
     culture and photo technology in the 19th century".
     The lectures of this meeting and some additional essays are published
     in the book
     "Der Photopionier Herrmann Krone - Photographie und Apparatur"
     published by Wolfgang Hesse and Tim Starl (Jonas-Verlag, Marburg 1998)
     ISBN 3-89445-232-3. (78,- DM)

     Another book which was just published:
     Herrmann Krone: Historisches Lehrmuseum f¸r Photographie. Experiment.
     Kunst. Massenmedium.  (Verlag der Kunst, Amsterdam und Dresden 1998)
     (128,- DM)

     Both books are in german language. In the Krone-exhibition both books
     are cheaper (58,- DM and 86,- DM).

     If someone is interested in these books, I could buy the wanted copies
