P3D RE: Vm & Kids
My son has always been able to see 3D since his first encounter at
age seven. How do I know - because it was a Magic Eye poster and he
told me what was in it (impossible to fake that). At age eight he
viewed my Realist format slides in a Red Button and comments about
things sticking out. He was also able to tell (and complain) about a
slide I had mounted pseudo. He also can see projected slides and
ViewMaster as well. At age nine he started shooting his own stereo
with twinned Olympus XA-2's. He shot prints and we mounted them
over-under and viewed them with the View Magic viewer. He took some
of these to his school and everyone who saw them (except one)
commented on the 3D. The one kid who didn't had "lazy-eye". My son
(who is now 11) came with me to NSA 97 in Bellevue and the stereo
theater was the highlight of the trip for him. He is also coming to
Richmond with me with the sole purpose of "seeing" the 3D.
I am sure there are some kids who don't see 3D, but my experience has
been the overwhelming majority DO see stereo.
Thanks for the time, and see you in Richmond.
