The RBT S1 is AF. IMO, AF is the least desirable feature in many normal
stereo shooting situations. I find myself focusing between 20 ft and
infinity in most of my Realist shots, that is, past the hyperfocal
distance. The reason for this is that there is usually more detail to
be resolved at infinity, hence I tend to bias my focus towards infinity.
A user of an AF camera will usually focus on the main subject which is
usually located in the foreground. In short, chances are that you will
want to bypass AF more often than AE.
