P3D Realist Critique - 3. Optical quality

>>>Dr. T. wrote (a very miniscule portion of the essay follows): ...Yes,
the Realist has been as close to a "point and shoot" camera as a manual
camera like this can be. I seriously doubt it if someone with a Kodak
or Revere can shoot faster than I do with the Realist.<<<

Why is that? Other than the fact that years of experience using one
camera gives you an edge (I can use my Pentax K1000 and SF-1 with the
greatest of ease, but give me my husband's Canon and I must pause and
ponder the situation and vice versa). I find that even in the short time
I've been using my Revere, I can shoot faster than my husband, who is
still struggling with his Realist even though he has had his stereo
camera longer. My Revere works basically like my old manual 35mm SLR
minus the light meter - no *lefty* stuff to confuse me - and is just as
easy to use. I doubt that you can accurately state the speed of yourself
against someone who has also used their particular stereo camera for the
same amount of time and the same number of rolls (by the way - what film
do you use? I could use a good solid stock tip!). I could be wrong, of
course. In that case, we'll just start calling you "Quick Draw" (or
should that be "Quick Click"?).

Regards.
