Brenda <<Tell me more. What are the significant features of it. Does it have
any advantages? Try not to do too good a sales job. I really don't
need yet another stereo camera. . .or do I?. . .hmmm.>>

My Revere is my camera of choice - moreso since I modified a Realist rewind
crank so it works on my camera. (Darn near wore the skin off my thumb and
forefinger rewinding stereo cameras!)
My Revere has Wollensak Amaton lenses, which have proved to be sharper than
either my Realist 3.5 Ilex Paragon or My 2.8 with David White lenses. Also, it
cocks the shutter automatically when the film is advanced - Realist doesn't -
but there is also a shutter cocking lever in case you want double exposures.
Further, it's lightweight and its viewfinder is where I would expect a
"normal" camera's viewfinder to be located: in the center at the top, with the
rangefinder just an inch to the right. Also, the Revere can use the +1, +2 and
+3 close-up lenses that Dalia Miller sells, whereas I've never seen a cheap
close-up lens system for the Realist. (I haven't actually tried shooting with
these, but I know they fit.)
Disadvantages: Engaging the rewind can be a challenge. In order to rewind, the
film-advance reel must set to a certain location on the "counter" dial in
order for the rewind knob to move freely, and I've found that if I've advanced
the film, say, a half-frame, trying to squeeze that last pair out of the film,
sometimes the rewind knob sticks until the shutter is released somehow
(usually by fiddling around with the film advance, moving it clockwise and
counterclockwise until I've released enough slack to fully advance a frame of
film and click the shutter - with the lenses held close against my chest, of
course). An annoyance, but nothing too major as long as you don't try to force
the rewind knob. Also the Revere has no attached lens cap; in fact, I've only
seen a couple of Revere lens caps ever!
Heck, I even think the Revere viewer is at least as good as a Red Button,
though I don't think Dr. T will alter a Revere viewer for 7p.
Just my opinion - I could be wrong!
