P3D NSA Richmond Convention
- From: bill3dbw3d@xxxxxxxx (Bill C Walton)
- Subject: P3D NSA Richmond Convention
- Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 17:31:13 -0500
I met a couple of folks from Photo Three Dimensions at the Convention,
Dan Shelley, Andrea Blair (her enthusiastic exuberance reminds me of that
of NSA Vice President Mary Ann Sell. Didn't someone write that big
things come in small packages, like dynamite and nitroglycerin) and
Gabriel Jacob,(who was on the news broadcast that covered the NSA
Convention. Like everyone else I found that the time went very fast
because I was having so much fun.
There was a big step upwards for the NSA members who make stereo cards in
the Awards area. Effective at the 1999 Green Bay Convention the Tex
Treadwell Award will be given for the the best stereo card display in the
annual NSA Competitive Display. This puts cards on an even level, award
wise, with slides as there has been a Paul Wing Award for the best
projected slide show at NSA for several years.
I would think that most everyone who attended The Richmond Convention
enjoyed themselves. I also think it would be nice if everyone would send
Judy Proffitt , Richmond Chairperson, an email thanking her and her
committee for the fine job they did. Her email address
Momanon@xxxxxxxxx
I would estimate there will be at least two more weeks of posting on
Photo Three Dimensions concerning the past convention. This will allow
those who could not attend (are you listening Bruce Springsteen) to
perhaps better realize what they missed and make them want to attend the
next convention
I know there should be at least a small posting concerning the NSA
Auction and I will think a little about how to start that thread.
