P3D more 3D in OZ
More on the anaglyph 3D topic...
Around Australia, Rice Bubbles and Fruit Loops breakfast cereal boxes
are being sold with a pair of Red/Green anaglyph glasses in the box and
a set of anaglyph images printed on the back of the box.
Unfortunately, again the images have technical problems. The right (green)
eye exhibits quite a lot of ghosting. In this case I think the ghosting is
due to the type of green ink they've used to print the images. "I think"
the green ink they've used is insuffiently monochromatic - i.e. it has some
red and blue in the ink too.
This is possibly an artefact of the standard Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black
printing scheme which is generally used. I haven't got my thinking cap on
at the moment
so I haven't thought that through entirely yet...
Yet another 3D sighting:
Early copies of Kylie Minogue's album Impossible Princess came with a
lenticular 3D image inserted inside the CD case - quite a good image too I
might add.
Cheers,
Andrew Woods. http://info.curtin.edu.au/~iwoodsa
