Is it possible to swap the PC cords?  Perhaps the one on the Toshiba
flash unit isn't making proper contact with the Realist PC socket.  I've
burned more than a few pairs due to a loose PC connection at the camera
end.  If it isn't possible, you might want to try a PC extension cord
(maybe get your local camera store to let you try it out first).  There
may be differences in the connectors on the two that make one work and
the other not that an extension cord could negate.
