Tom,

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. That certainly sounds
plausible to me. I had placed a phone call to Zak who suggested that I
send him the camera and the flash so that he could investigate. Since
you say it is so easy to get to the contacts, I think I'll give
cleaning them a try and if I screw something up...well, my camera
already has an appointment at the clinic. ;-)
