P3D Re: List use & blocking...

How did you figure that out Dan?  Here is what the original question
asked:

I challenge this inconsiderate JERK to tell us who are the P3d authors
he is blocking.  If it is me, I would like to know.  And I believe
Andrea, Bob Maxey and other members of this list would like to know too
if they are in Tom's "black list".  We would like to know so that we 
don't waste our time not only responding but also READING his postings.

Dan, if you were blocking me I would have not minded it... After all, we 
are working on different areas of stereo.  I would understand that this 
filtering is the result of content, not a rejection on a personal level.
Also, you have been around for a while and you know how things can turn
rough from time to time.  We had some conflicts in the past but, like 
mature adults, we managed to overcome them.  Today I have nothing but the 
greatest respect for you and your work and I look forward to reading your 
news in P3d.  This list is more than just stereo photography.  It is about 
sharing our experiences and news and making friends.  You have shared with 
us personal news (good and bad) and I am sure you have received feedback 
and encouragement from list members.  The dialogs in this list have
forged respect and strong bonds among members.  I will single out Gabriel 
and Paul Talbot because we did have some rough times in the past too.  
Their friendships I treasure today.

This Deering on the other hand is a bit too busy to read anything but
his own postings and those who agree with him.  He has been already
two times in and out in a few months.  His is now in the list in ACK 
mode armed with filters to block postings on a personal level.  I have 
sent him half a dozen "reconciliation" messages.  Things like "Tom, 
please lets get over the 1/30 rule arguments and be friends"... All 
this time I wondered why he has not responded.  What kind of person 
would read these messages and not respond?  Now, I know.  He is not 
reading them.  This pathetic little coward has blocked me off and does 
not have the decency to let me know so I stop sending him email.

Sounds like a personal problem?  Perhaps it is... But, please, do not
degrade the list by asking instructions from the list on how to block
other list members.  This is a discussion list.  If you are too busy
or simply uninterested to read other people's opinions, consider the
digest mode (like most do).
