been on the Photo-3D list long enough to sometimes have something useful
to contribute, I made a few attempts at sending answers to
questions or comments to the list. I usually got a few replies that,
while they did not use the word, implied that my thoughts were too
stupid to be considered. So now, if I am fairly sure that I have the
answer to a question, I send an Email directly to the person.<<<<

There is a point where conversations should be taken off the list, but
what a shame that you felt you couldn't participate in the general
discussions on the list. I wonder what tidbits of information or thought
provoking dialogue we have missed because of this. Lesson one for being
on a discussion forum: Develop thick skin. There's always going to be
someone who disagrees with everyone and will do it in such an insulting
manner that you wonder why you even bother to open your mail. Ignore
them! Politely tell them to mind their manners if you feel so inclined
(on or off the list). But concentrate more on the majority of open,
friendly, sharing individuals. These make up the heart of the list that
keep it alive. Everyone gets a wild hair now and again, but things
settle down after awhile. I have thouroughly enjoyed my first year on
P3D, and, after jumping right into the conversations from the start,
have survived it relatively unscathed. {;>) If everyone sent their
responses privately, we would soon have no discussions, just questions
posted. Then I wouldn't learn anything. {:>( Since you said you have
sent several e-mails in response to questions already, Jeff, I hope you
will consider sharing some of that information with us on line in the
future.
