Stereo photographers tend to be older and so do photographers in
general, especially those associated with clubs.  Alex Klein must
have been one of the youngest active stereo photographers when he
started.  I got into 3d when I was 29 years old (that's when I got 
my Realist :-))  When I attended my first stereo club meeting (in 
Chicago) I was easily the youngest in the room by at least one decade
(if not more).  I did not even wear a tie because I did not have one
(this was and still is the dress requirement of the meeting place)
Even now at the age of 39 I think I am the youngest active member of the
Ohio Stereo Photographic Society...  One of the SSA members in the Alpha
folio is approaching 100 years old.  Until a couple of years ago he shot
and mounted his own pictures.  This last year he is entering golden oldies
from the 50s which are wonderful to see.
