Different people have different tastes, requirements and expectations
out of their pursuits/hobbies... not everyone cares about hyperfocus or
frame size or where the window is set. They may find it convenient to
get side by side prints, or to use a camera they are already accustomed
to. They may judge the final product by different criteria than you and
Paul Wing... and their criteria are just as legitimate as yours!

To extend the discussion a bit: some real photographers like shooting
with toy cameras... they even take stereo pictures with them! Why would
they choose to do that if the technical quality is inferior and they are
operationally more difficult than their auto everything systems? Therein
lies an answer...
