P3D Glass in projection
- From: fj834@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Dr. George A. Themelis)
- Subject: P3D Glass in projection
- Date: Thu, 22 Oct 1998 16:22:27 -0400 (EDT)
>Why does glass seem to be a requirement in stereo projection?
It is not. Many people are switching to (glassless) RBT mounts.
Glass has the advantage of keeping the film chips flat during projection.
>Keeps fingers off of the film. Easy to keep clean and unscratched. Nice
>and heavy too, gives a feeling you have a SLIDE rather than just a slide.
These reasons are valid not just for projection.
