P3D Re: 2x2 format
REPLY TO GEORGE SKELLY:

I might as well repear the answer I gave earlier. The future proved
you wrong. Eight years later RBT is supporting the 41x101 mounts by
producing custom stereo cameras that do not give full frame stereo
pairs and a wide variety of 101x41 mounts which will allow full frame
to be mounted on them with minimum loss of image. Cheaper cardboard
mounts made by Steve Spicer in Australia and a favorite among many
stereo photographers, also support wider formats.
>I reminded him that the TDC 116 projector was up to the task.
I suspect that you mean "the TDC 116 projector was *not* up to the
task". I disagree. The 116 will project the widest RBT mounts and
even 2x2 mounts with a 1/2 inch spacer. But, for those who still
think that this inexpensive and readily available projector is not
up to the task perhaps Bob Brackett's new projector (designed for
101x41 but will also project 2x2's with spacer) is up to the task?
(I am not going to mention the RBT proje$tor! :-))

That's exactly what Bob Brackett told me 5 years ago and look at him
now! He is making products supporting the 101x41 format!
>I proposed a special mask to be made by myself in the USA...
Please give us details! Was it a 2x2x2 mask or a 101x41 mask?
George Themelis
101x41 stereo is not dead and will never be as long as I am alive! :-)
