True, it looks like your not! :-) But then you would be mistaken
to assume otherwise! :-) To refresh your memory I have
included Peter's original post which I commented on and which
you subsequentally replied to. The fact is, I said, "good luck
sniping the sniper." This was in reference to Peter's post
about the sniper outbidding the bidder! So Mike my assumption
(which strictly speaking wasn't an assumption) was correct! :-)

Are you sure you don't want to? ;-) You've mentioned that
sniping IS effective and that you've done it.

Sorry Mike the situation is completely different with a live
auction compared to a ebay auction. Your going into this 
assuming everyone is bidding their absolute maximum like 
supposedly your are. This is not the case with everyone. Now
is it a good statedgy to put your proxy bid early on, that
is in question with an ebay auction.
