I am sorry to intervene in your conversations but consider that for
me to travel to Detroit I have to leave work at 4:30 pm to be at
Livonia MI by 7:30 that the meeting starts.  I have been doing this
non-stop for 4 years now and I have only missed one meeting (and 
was late on another one because of a snow storm).

We have members who travel from Pittsburgh and Columbus (about 2-2.5
hours) to attend our meetings in Cleveland.

Everyone would like to see a club within walking distance from their
house but this is not possible with only a dozen or so clubs in the USA.
Stereo clubs are a precious commodity and it is well worth the longer
drive and inconvenience to drive to the meetings ONCE A MONTH.  Only
once a month, so perhaps it is worth the effort to get permission to
leave early from work, etc.

Having two clubs so close to each other does sound like a waste of
resources but if you can manage it, so much the better!
