Phil Palmer asked about this machine.
I've scoured my study for information,
and finally unearthed the old brochure
I knew I had somewhere. Phil is right that
this was supplied in kit form. The manufacturers
E.Marshall Smith of Bournemouth sold
a number of do it yourself projectors and
viewers. The kit comprised all body parts,
opticals, slide carrier, and all finishing
material such as paint and trim. Lens and
lamp were priced separately so you could
choose to suit your price range.
Quotes

All parts guaranteed sound
Powerful quiet fan , best quality heat filters
and optics. Continuous flow for stereo slides
Each lamp separately switched.
Additional carriers for 2x2 stereos
Body mainly aluminium, bronze paint and
plastic covering.
Size 16x12x8
Styling as the Zenith (mono)projector.
If supplied with anastigmat lenses you are
assured of perfection> End quotes
I obtained one many years ago in a job lot,
at a time when I was only in to ViewMaster.
I sold it on without trying it to someone who
reported themselves very happy with it.
I recall it looked like a very tatty 1950s
kitchen unit - peeling formica box with
chrome plastic trim.
If Phil sends me his address I'll make a
copy of the brochure and send it.
One final quote in the advert would make
an excellent motto for us all-
<Brilliant stereo-cool-sturdy-smart-cheap>
Best wishes,
John Bradley
