P3D 300 watt, 240 volt AC bulbs

Having just acquired a clubman 300 D stereo projector
the first things I noticed (apart from the abundance of 
wood used in it's construction) is that it has no transformer
in it and the bulbs are 300w, 240v AC.

Are these bulb still readily available in the UK or should 
I try to convert the projector to DC.
