Just curious... isn't the camera going to focus at infinity by default
in this situation (since the subject is far away)? 

I was thinking that I could use this camera for hyperstereos so I don't
need to carry my SLR with me, resulting in considerable weight gain.
Of course, lots of film will be wasted this way.  One way to cut film
use in half would be to put the camera in multiple exposure mode, shoot
through one lens while covering the other and then quickly switch.
This way you could have a hyper of the clouds combined with a normal
stereo of the wing (if it happens to be in the picture).  Has anyone
tried things like that?
