Dayton Taylor patented a 40 camera rig.
www.virtualcamera.com
- and now it is the fad effect these days.
We, at Digital Domain and others have simulated
the frozen moment effect by shooting stills from two
static camera angles and morphing between the two to
create a moving camera. We used Elastic Reality.
At first I didnt think it would look good but
this technique turns out to be very effective.
Of course, for super complex images like water
theres no substitute (not yet) for the real thing.
I shot a fountain with Dayton and his timetrack system
for a lenticular press kit cover proposal.
