P3D Realist lens cover removal/replacement

Last night I finally finished working through my backlog of
around 1000 unmounted stereo slides.  (It took months!) So
today I am lifting my self-imposed P3D posting ban!  I hope
that doesn't disappoint too many folks! ;-)  I noticed that
I left a little mess with my last post to the list (re: airspace)
and I hope to clean that up a little later.  For now, a question:

What is the best way to remove, and later replace, the lens cover
on a Realist?
