Yes, exactly. And the printer said that 3ft. wide is all I would get out
of the machine.

Certainly it can be done! but you'll have to find a way to compensate for
the falloff in exposure along the plate (film) that is mounted so obliquely
behind the aperture. Perhaps a special gel or ND filter?
And I love your ideas for these products. Let's start a multinational
corporation!
