I agree that most scanners support it. I posted it for those using the
HP slide adapter on scanners without a tranparency adapter that might
want to scan a negative.

I have heard of various schemes to better characterize the "orange" mask
colour, many of which just aren't supported by the scanner software.

I guess it is just a matter of how fussy you are :-)
