P3D Phantograms

Just received two Phantograms from the Museum of Jurassic
Technology. Cost was about $8.50 for two 8X10 Anaglyph geometric
drawings and a pair of red-green glasses. (See their Web site
at http://www.mjt.org/shop/shopmisc.htm if you want to get one.)

I was very impressed with the effect. One thing that was
interesting was how the effect disappeared if you closed one
eye. - Only with both eyes open was it possible to see an
image as a rectangle jutting up from the page. With one eye
closed, the rectangle appeared as a trapezoid on a flat piece
       of paper.-

I tried to scan one of the pictures, to see if I could view
it on my monitor, but I had no luck. - The inks are fairly
pastel shades of red and blue-green - and there is very little
ghosting when the paper is viewed. - But when I tried to scan
it in, the blue-green all but disappeared. I suspect good
color matching is very important with this technique as
any significant ghosting would mess up the illusion.

I am anxiously awaiting my phantogram order from Boris.
