In my (less than exhaustive) investigation of local printing
options for Realist format negatives, I noticed that half-frame
(4P) masks seem pretty common at photo labs. Finding a lab with
a Realist-compatible (5P) mask, however, is far more difficult.
I highly recommend mailing your film to Grand Photo, where you
can be confident it will be handled properly. Not only are they
stereo printing experts, but the quality of their prints is very
high compared to most labs today. Switching to Agfa negative film
and Grand Photo processing has rekindled my interest in color
prints, after years of suffering through horrid results from
numerous other processors.
After you've gotten your feet wet, you can start exploring local
alternatives...if you find your volume of stereo prints is large
enough to warrant the time and effort it will take.
