P3D Hyper?

60" is hyper? Relative to what? The 30:1 rule is an good starting
point. Issues of lens focal length, subject, cropping, and playback FOV
(field of view) all enter in. Then too, technically correct is not
always aesthetically correct. Experiment often leads to understanding
and control of both. Besides, I didn't know the mountain's distance
offhand.
I submit the following "raw" pair for your consideration:

Judging from the trees in the "foreground," located some hundred meters
out, my base must have been about 20 meters. If I were to make the best
of this pair I would crop the trees, maybe even the near hills, and zoom
in on the mountains. I also have a few variations on this pair. I
certainly didn't carefully pace this out. I needed to get to the
Bristle Cones before the light got too hard. Photo taken Oct"98.
