The PMA pictures of the MetaFlash, by  Minolta, can be seen at:

They have some info about it also. The camera has one lens.
It tkes 5 flash pictures of the item to build a 3d wireframe.
The picture is then layered over the wireframe as a texture,
via the software. While it is not true stereo photography, it is
still very interesting to me.
