You were not one of those I was thinking of, George. John B. and Boris
"Ortho Uber Alles" Starosta come immediately to mind. There are perhaps
others, but I believe they are the most outspoken. I don't want to put
words in their mouths (after all I don't know where they've been!) but I
think "extreme dislike" is not too mild a description of their, shall we
say, intensity? :-)

On the other hand, this list is about teaching and learning, and when
people have pointed out certain things, I often go run off to get a
viewer and some slides and look for evidence of it. I think this is one
that could go both ways-- one might require education to become aware of
it (I did); being aware of it, one could become desensitized to it, or
start to notice it more.
