Regarding the cotton ball, great idea! Does it work!?! ;-)

Seriously, for those audio experts on the list, are there
stereo audio similarites to stereo photography? For example,
if one records stereo sounds with a wide separation between
microphone A and B, do you get hyper-sound? Conversly if the
"stereo-base" is narrower than ortho (I estimate roughly 6
inches or so), do you get hypo-sound? How about psuedo, stretch,
squash, card-boarding???
