>What is a good viewer for twin 35 slides in regular 35 mm mounts?

How much money can you spend? :-)

The Franka viewer was mentioned. Boris seems to like the cheap ones
sold by Reel 3-D. In this format you don't have as many choices
as in the 41x101 format. The EASY de Wijs viewer can be used for
2x2x2 slides in horizontal format (in addition to 41x101 but reassembly
of the viewer is required to switch fromats). The COMBY de Wijs viewer
has a very clever slide holder design that can be flipped over to change
from one format to the other. The large lenses make it possible to see
the entire 2x2 width (both horizontal and vertical) without any problem.
You can even see superslides (40 x 40 mm) using this viewer.

>Do those modified Red Buttons that I've heard about accomodate them?

No, they don't. The accomodate 41x101 mm mounts only. But the openings
of these mounts can be as wide as the widest RBT mount (33 mm). There
are quite a few people who mount full frame slides in RBT or Spicer
mounts. Bob Aldridge and David Burder have modified Sterolists (a
Realist red button clone) for 2x2x2 viewing.
