Yes, it's like scrupulously mounting slides with a precise stereo window,
which were shot using the 1/30 guestimate. Or like shooting expensive
Velvia for it's fine grain, then randomly exposing it using sunny-16.
Some people have a hard time seeing the contradictions.

I agree again.....how about if we shoot stereo and just look at the left or
right image. Just as we orient ourselves in space with our VISUAL depth
perception....we do the same with sound.
Here is the life an death example:
I would not want to live in a world where heard a car horn honking at me
frantically to get out of the way...because I COULD NOT SEE the car comin
at me at 60mph....and I had to react fast .....cued critically by my sense
of HEARING...which would orient me as to which direction the car I CANT SEE
is coming from.
Now this is an extreme case that does not apply much to stereo theatre, but
thanks for reading and next time you are at a 3D IMAX....think about the
above and look out and LISTEN for the other car!
